Every year, more than 45,000 sick children are admitted to The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH). The Bed Sponsorship program through the RCH Foundation enables individuals, businesses and organisations to support areas of the hospital they are passionate about.

Our parent company, South Food Group, are proudly sponsoring a bed in the Banksia Ward. The Banksia Ward treats young people for a range of mental and psychological disorders. Banksia Ward uses a multi-disciplinary approach to assess and treat patients admitted to the Ward. The team is comprised of consultant psychiatrists, registered nurses with mental health qualifications, a psychologist, social worker, psychiatry registrar and teachers with special education qualifications.

With support through the bed sponsorship program, the Banksia Ward can continue to provide young people with the best care and resources available, offering treatment within a trauma informed and recovery focused framework.
